February 16, 2024. Salt Lake City, Utah. Delta Center. SmackDown. Damage CTRL left a foreboding pre-recorded message for Dakota Kai and Bayley. WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY spoke some truth, pointing out that Bayley pretends all of Damage CTRL's success is because of her when it's actually IYO and WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane who won championship gold. Even last week Bayley was still making her false claims.

Asuka threatened Dakota, calling her as stupid as Bayley if she thinks there won't be consequences for turning on Damage CTRL. Kairi finished, warning Dakota to sleep with one eye open because Damage CTRL are coming for her.

After the message, Dakota asked Bayley for her help, insisting she's the only person she can trust. Bayley expressed gratitude for Dakota coming to her aid last week. Of course, Bullheaded Bayley followed that stating that she doesn't know if she can trust Dakota after feeling she's been lied to for months. If only Bayley hadn't been selfish and therefore perhaps not brought this all about, they might not even be having this conversation. Just saying.

Dakota apologized for not being upfront with Bayley about everything, stressing that she thought the tensions between Bayley and The Joshi Trio would blow over once Bayley's golden vision came to pass. Bayley stubbornly answered that she couldn't do this right now. Our Captain was understandably distressed but let it be... for now.

February 23, 2024. Salt Lake City, Utah. Delta Center. SmackDown. Dakota Kai was assisted to the infirmary, favoring her surgically repaired knee. Bayley paid Dakota a visit, learning that it was IYO SKY, Asuka and Kairi Sane who attacked her. Guilt overcame Bayley for she realized this was all her fault for choosing not to trust Kai. Dakota was selfless, expressing to Bayley that it's not her fault, nor does she blame Bayley for not trusting her. Kai felt she let Bayley down. Bayley still felt she should have been there for Dakota, vowing Damage CTRL will pay.

Dakota told Bayley that she has her back. If that means actually having to earn Bayley's trust back, Dakota is fine with that. The Captain vowed that Bayley and her will make Damage CTRL pay. Bayley sealed the deal giving Dakota a gentle squeeze with a smile. Has Dakota actually forgiven Bayley for Bayley's past wrongdoings? Or is Dakota still giving Bayley a deserved taste of her own medicine? The Blessing of The King or The Foot of The King. Whichever Bayley gets, Bayley deserves because Dakota Kai is Always Right.
