September 16th 2022. Honda Center in Anaheim, California. SmackDown. Damage CTRL is in the Blue House that Bayley and some AJ Styles guy built. Raquel Rodriguez doesn't want none of Bayley but she's gonna get some. On Monday Night RAW, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY won the WWE Women's Tag Titles from Aliyah and Raquel. Moments before Kai pinned Aliyah, Aliyah had covered Kai whose hand was under the rope and the referee didn't notice. He was making a three count when he shouldn't have been. Bayley did right calling attention to the poor officiating by placing Kai's foot on the rope.

That didn't sit well with Raquel Rodriguez who forgot she would have done the same thing for Dakota in the past. Aliyah and Raquel lost focus on the prize and cost themselves the match and titles. Now Raquel has the audacity to blame Bayley for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Bayley didn't cost Aliyah and her the tag team titles. Raquel has only herself to blame for that after all she chased after Bayley instead of being there for Aliyah when her partner needed her.

Damage CTRL arrived at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY proudly wearing the tag team title belts around their waists like true champions do. Dakota reminded everyone that the Women's Tag Team Championship allows them to go to any brand at any time and do whatever they want. A certain Toxic supergroup on another brand who had the audacity to declare they are the best supergroup should heed that as a warning and cease.

Raquel Rodriguez came out a raging storm unfairly calling Damage CTRL bullies for putting Aliyah out of action. Poor choice of words considering one of those "bullies" actually stood aside when Aliyah was getting checked on. And only physically engaged again when Aliyah agreed to push forward of her own free will. I'd say Aliyah showed a lot of heart and Raquel let her down. Just this September 17th Birthday Dude's opinion.

It was time for Bayley versus Raquel. Being the selfless friends they are, Dakota and IYO sacrificed themselves early on to give Bayley a moment of respite after being caught off-guard at the start of the match. That sacrifice saw SKY get pounced into Kai by Raquel. Fortunately they were only stunned a bit, so able to lend some morale and distracting support for Bayley.

Bayley controlled the match for a bit but Raquel fired back with brute offense. As she climbed to the second rope to deliver her corkscrew elbow, Dakota remembered how Bayley heroically saved her from Dana Brooke some weeks back. She owed it to her friend to be the hero this time and pulled Bayley from the ring while Raquel took her focus off her opponent to stare at IYO. Did Raquel never learn it's not polite to stare?

Instead of focusing on Bayley (a.k.a. her opponent), Raquel decided to pull Dakota into the ring and mangle her because Raquel has decided to leech off her former friend any chance she gets now. Bayley did the right thing and came to Dakota's aid only to get big booted to the canvas by Raquel. Dakota was powerslammed on top of Bayley. Raquel proceeded to crash down on them with the corkscrew elbow. It was time for IYO to be their hero. As the referee tended to Dakota, IYO gave Raquel a Greco Roman eye rake. Maybe that will fix Raquel's inability to focus!

Bayley rose planted Raquel and scored the pinfall victory. IYO and Bayley decided to put the boots to Raquel after the match. I'd say for their own well-being since otherwise Raquel likely would have gone on a rage-hunt backstage and tried to throw them through walls. Sadly, Shotzi came to Raquel's aid before Damage CTRL could send Raquel to be Aliyah's Jell-O buddy.

Now look, I know it was a rough night for Our Captain and her friends. But California is Bayley's home state. We all know there's that age old WWE curse that often causes wrestlers to have bad nights in home states or hometowns. What matters is Damage CTRL are still the supergroup of all supergroups. Bayley won her match. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY are still our Women's Tag Team Champions. They are elite. They are acclaimed. They are THE TRUE attraction. Damage CTRL don't need a tank. They are the fucking tank.
