December 19th 2022. Des Moines, Iowa. Wells Fargo Arena. Monday Night RAW. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai & IYO SKY were victorious on SmackDown giving Damage CTRL momentum heading into Bayley's match against Becky Lynch. The Man expressed her desire to have no emotional support for Bayley at ringside. That aforementioned support: Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Becky expressed this desire while The Ladies were in gorilla doing last minute preparation. So, there is a very good chance they didn't even hear it.

Surely, Lynch could have asked management to let her speak her mind earlier in the show when Bayley could have actually thought a bit on it? Ironically enough, that choice was the first step to Bitter Time's downfall on RAW. Dakota and IYO were ringside to offer verbal support for Bayley. But being so close to the action gets the ole heart racing. They could see Bayley was in danger and their familial instincts kicked in. Mama bear was in danger. Kick Bear and Shotei Bear pulled her from danger.

Becky could have let things be and just tossed Bayley into the ring to continue the match. Nope. She grabbed a monitor and threatened to hit Kai and SKY. The referee ejected Kai and SKY. Becky couldn't resist getting some cheap shots in on Dakota, taking her eyes off the prize. Bayley decided to give Becky exactly what she wanted, smacking her with the monitor she was so desperate to use. Rose Plant. Cover. Bayley the Winner. Our Role Model couldn't resist laughing back at her fallen opponent who... as they say: Lived by the monitor and fell to the monitor.

You could say Becky fell on her own sword like she foretold during her speaking her mind prior to the match. She didn't want Kai and SKY at ringside, stating she wanted to face "the best version" of Bayley whom she claimed would come to the ring solo. Lynch vowed whatever the result to "die on her own sword" unlike The Role Model. So, Lynch got to fall grandly on her own sword and did it to herself per her very own actions.

The Ladies were kind enough to give some of their well-deserved holiday break time to stay at the arena for RAW Talk. Bayley was rightfully excited about her win. The Ladies planned to start their holiday with a champagne party. Bayley expressed a desire for next week's Best of 2022 RAW to replay Damage CTRL's entrance and her win over Becky for all three hours. Throw in the two Dakota and IYO tag title wins and that would be a great episode. The Ladies were out after playfully giving the ungrateful Cathy Kelley a pretend champagne shower.

The past few days were a great end to 2022 for The Ladies. Dakota and IYO are still WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Bayley got herself a much needed win against Becky Lynch. I hope 2023 brings The Ladies much more success. The Year 2022 was a huge year for Our Captain. I look forward to what The Year of The Captain 2023 has in store for Dakota Kai.
