Damage CTRL Events of June 9th 2023

During the June 9th 2023 SmackDown, IYO SKY and Bayley competed in qualifying matches for the 2023 Women's Money in the Bank Match to be held at WWE Money in the Bank at The O2 in London, England on July 1st 2023. Bayley and IYO pointed to the briefcase as The Role Model said they miss the injured Dakota Kai and dedicated their victories to her. Unlike Bayley's previous dedication to Our Captain, this time word was kept. Bayley pinned Michin after hitting The Rose Plant. Later on, SKY pinned Shotzi following a helping hand from Bayley and Over the Moonsault.

It was happy times for Damage CTRL as both Bayley and SKY were joyous following IYO's win. Bayley gave her friend a squeeze. They raised each other's arms, staring up at the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging above the ring. There was no tension. Just happiness between friends. Has IYO put Bayley's actions at Backlash behind them? Could it be that Bayley has put aside her selfishness and both will work together to be the final two standing... May the Best Lady Win?

Happy times continued on The SmackDown LowDown with Bayley stating SKY or her would win Money in the Bank. Unlike last week, there was no "It will be me not you" tension between them when Bayley made her statement. Zelina Vega took offense to their confidence, challenging one of them to a match on next week's SmackDown. Bayley was about to say something but IYO cut her off, accepting Vega's challenge. The Role Model hinted some frustration before shrugging it off. Just an old habits die slowly moment from Bayley. I'm being optimistic.
