Damage CTRL Events The Week of July 3rd 2023

IYO SKY paid a visit to Monday Night RAW on July 3rd 2023 to loom the threat of the Money in the Bank briefcase over the head of Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley. The Eradicator dared her to try, warning it would go bad for SKY. Ripley might be more dangerous than since they last fought in NXT, however SKY still holds three televised victories over her that were pivotal to The Genius of the SKY. A fourth could be in SKY's future if she decides to cash in The Ladies in the Bank briefcase against The Eradicator.

WWE Women's Champion Asuka was so preoccupied with Bianca Belair and Charlotte that she didn't see SKY smash her twice with the briefcase during the July 7th 2023 SmackDown. Bayley made it three, Rose Planting Asuka face first into the briefcase as SKY ascended to the top rope. With her friend Bayley jumping in joy, SKY crashed down on Asuka with Over the Moonsault. Bayley asked SKY if she wanted to cash in. SKY said yes. Bayley was handing off the briefcase to the referee. In seconds, we'd have And New WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY... Except...

That damnEST thorn in the side of Damage CTRL Bianca Belair pulled Bayley out of the ring and tossed her against the barrier to a chorus of boos from the crowd. SKY's chance to cash in at the historic home of WWE Madison Square Garden ruined by former champion Belair whose consumed herself with bitterness whenever someone else gets a title shot instead of her. SKY grabbed the briefcase only for the equally bitter Charlotte to big boot it into her face. It's no secret that entitlement flows through Charlotte's veins. She too got a deserved chorus of boos.

The referee never took the briefcase to call for the bell, so the contract wasn't cashed in. Asuka was fortunate as the bitterness of Belair and Charlotte saved her championship reign. Damage CTRL made it abundantly clear though that IYO SKY has The Empress of Tomorrow in her sights.
