Damage CTRL Events of July 14th 2023

The Ladies in the Bank had a mixed bag of an evening on the July 14, 2023 SmackDown. The good occurred first as Bayley picked up a victory over Zelina Vega. IYO SKY was in her corner, carrying both the Money in the Bank briefcase and that lock of Shotzi's hair Bayley sheered off in London. Speaking of the green devil, Shotzi appeared on the big screen to shave her hair in defiance of what Bayley did to her. Sadly, Dakota Kai can no longer call her a troll doll. A bit more worrisome though is Shotzi sounded a lot more a lunatic than normal.

Later on, Bayley and SKY got tickets to watch Asuka defend the WWE Women's Championship against Bianca Belair. The EST promised Charlotte a title match at SummerSlam if she won the title. Go figure, the entitled stick together. Chaos ensued and SKY had a chance to cash in. Asuka was primed for Over the Moonsault. Bayley was trying to hand-off the briefcase to the referee but took too damn long. Asuka misted Bayley and the briefcase off the apron. SKY still has her golden ticket but was understandably upset at that slowpoke Bayley.

The silver lining after months of tension is that IYO and Bayley seemed a bit more on the same page following Money in the Bank. The briefcase belongs to Damage CTRL, however IYO won it. Bayley has often said she formed the group to give both Dakota Kai and IYO SKY opportunities. Unless her slowpoking was on purpose, whatever selfish desires Bayley might have once had seem buried. If so that bodes well for the future of The Ladies. The future of Damage CTRL. Dakota Kai. Bayley. You're future Women's Champion IYO SKY.
