Damage CTRL Events of August 4th 2023

Happy One Year Anniversary to The Ladies. July 30, 2023 marked the one year birthday of Damage CTRL. The second year could very well begin with And New WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY at SummerSlam 2023 if The Genius of the SKY was being honest last week about cashing in on the winner of the triple threat title match. Unfortunately, SummerSlam Eve was an unpleasant night for both IYO and Bayley. First of all, they were guests on The Grayson Waller Effect. Look, it's better than Reo's Roundup but no Ding Dong, Hello!.

Waller asked IYO if she was going to cash in at SummerSlam. SKY was intrigued to answer, however Bayley cut in stating such information couldn't be shared. IYO didn't seem pleased that Bayley cut in. I want to chalk it up to sisterly stuff, however IYO seemed overly frustrated the entire time. That's understandable. She has to worry about Bayley who has that lunatic Shotzi and her scissors stalking her. That same lunatic who could intervene in an eventual cash in. It's a lot on IYO's mind. Speaking of the lunatic, the second reason this night sucked was Shotzi.

Shotzi's laugh was heard, understandably creeping Bayley out. That IDIOT Waller bullied Bayley about being scared of Shotzi. He doesn't grasp the difference between creeped out and scared. Bayley pointed out that unlike Shotzi, she shows up every week because she's the hardest working member of the roster. All of a sudden, Shotzi's music hit and the lunatic drove out on the TCB Tank. Or did she? Bayley told IYO go down and protect her. Shotzi like the coward she is came up on Bayley from behind with clippers, spooking The Role Model away from the ring.

The tank driver was Zelina Vega who is obsessed with sticking her nose in Damage CTRL business where it doesn't belong. She was also IYO's opponent for the evening. SKY took it to Vega without Bayley there for moral support, however it was Zelina who stole the victory. That happened because Shotzi and Bayley brawled out onto the stage, with the lunatic trying to shave off Bayley's hair. IYO was distracted, concerned for her friend who luckily fought off the lunatic and hurried away. Bayley is safe which is the only plus of an otherwise awful night.

Things didn't get any better on The SmackDown LowDown. Renowned Bayley Hater Kayla Braxton asked IYO if she attributed her loss to Zelina to Shotzi stalking Bayley out of the arena. SKY responded in Japanese, her words growing more tense and frustrated as she said them. After Miss Money in the Bank said what she wanted to say, she told Kayla to shoo because she had to go look for Bayley. Grayson Waller, Shotzi, Zelina Vega and Kayla Braxton. I hope Bayley and IYO got to enjoy something strong after having to endure all that.
