It had been just under two months since Miranda Alize pinned Nixon Newell at a Hurricane Pro Wrestling event. Fated it was they would once again engage in battle. August 23, 2025. Evolution Dojo. Houston, Texas. Hurricane Pro & Evolution Lucha Libre Present: The Show. Nixon Newell versus Miranda Alize II. The crowd erupted for Nixon. Miranda cheap shotted her from behind, making it clear this would not be a pull-no-punches out of respect clash like their first, rather it would be an ugly and ruthless affair.

Brutal, hard slaps across the face and chest. Ruthless kicks. From both. In the crowd. One from Nixon to Miranda actually sent Alize reeling all the way across the ringside area. When the action returned to the ring, Nixon mauled Miranda with a charging uppercut followed by a snapmare, jumping stomp and superkick for two. Miranda retreated to the floor, trying to hide amongst the fans. Nixon tracked her down but an Irish whip to the ring post was reversed, Newell smashing her own face flush against the hard surface.

Back in the ring, Miranda swept Nixon on her rump in one of the corners of the six-sided ring. Alize blew Nixon a kiss then brutally face washed her. I suppose, it was at least delivered with love. A DDT canvassed Nixon for two. Nixon fought back catching Miranda’s arms for a smashing headbutt. A superkick followed by The Nixongiri knocked Miranda silly. Nixon paid Alize back for earlier, sweeping her rump first into a corner. Cannonboar! Two on the cover. Nixon was ready to end this, only for Alize to evade The Shiniest Wizard.

Nixon was lifted up for a suplex, then dropped in a powerbomb for two. Miranda raged furious, miffed with the referee. Alize’s wasted time gave Nixon the opening for an uppercut that sent Miranda into a corner. Nixon charged for another Cannonboar, this time Alize blocking it with the referee. With the referee down and out, Nixon turned around, swiftly banged to the canvas with a cutter. Miranda called for a new referee. Enter a child wearing an Evolution Dojo shirt, a referee in training.

The youngling referee did well, making a fairly timed count. Nixon kicked out at two. Miranda lost her temper, verbally bullying the novice into a corner. Nixon would not stand for that, crawling up behind Miranda. In self-defense, the youngling pushed Miranda away from him, Alize taking a tumble over Newell. Nixon covered Miranda, only getting two. Newell wasted no time, charging forward at Alize, smacking her out cold with The Shiniest Wizard. The novice referee hit the canvas three times. And Your Winner, Nixon Newell.

Nixon acknowledged the novice’s swell job as an unbiased referee, raising his hand after he raised hers. A high five. The youngling helped Nixon backstage. And so ended a hard-fought, brutal match for Nixon Newell. But one where she picked up some additional momentum heading into her upcoming championship matches. Hopefully, Miranda won’t vendetta against the youngling, trying to get him banned from the dojo. If she did stoop that low though, I think Nixon could pull some strings to reverse it, after all she knows the owner…
